Constructo pistol , Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

The Constructo guns in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time were a whole suite of weapons for the price of 3. You started off with a base and 3 other parts. You could mix and match the 3 parts any way you wanted--so each Constructo gun was actually 27 guns made from the art of 3 full guns. Ahem... and it was scheduled for the time it would take to make one.

I'm proud of these. I designed roughs, and then the concept maestro Carlo Arellano created concepts that made this system make sense. Making sure all the combos fit together was a task. I'll post another project that shows the roughs and shaders. Because the player could also custom select the primary, secondary, trim and light colors. The shader artist and UI team really made this possible--I just made the maps and helped come up with the shader requirements.
